Anies: Nagrak Flat is Ready to Become Isolation Place for OTG Patients

This is done to curb the spread of Covid-19

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan together with Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Mulyo Aji, inspected the readiness of the Nagrak Flats located in Cilincing, North Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/23). The flat will be used as a controlled isolation place for patients without Covid-19 symptoms (OTG), to reduce the burden accommodated by Wisma Atlet.

The flat that has 2,500 rooms are provided for isolation rooms, where one room can be filled with four patients. The Governor said, the preparations were a joint effort to ensure that residents who were exposed in Jakarta could receive good isolation facilities, to minimize transmission to others.

Nagrak Flat Transformed into Isolation Places for Covid-19 Patients

"This is done to curb the spread of Covid-19. This isolation place is under the Pangdam Jaya and the Pangkogaskabpad. It becomes one with the management of the Wisma Atlet. So in terms of infrastructure, this is a facility managed by the Jakarta administration, but its activities are under the same line of command as the Wisma Atlet," expressed the Governor, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He also added that all the needs of patients at the Nagrak Flat, both in terms of personnel to logistics, were under one management, under the control of Wisma Atlet. Thus, OTG patient could be allocated to the flat thus the management can run optimally.

"If we have symptoms, are worried about being exposed, go to a health facility first. Afterwards there is a reference, whether isolation is necessary or not. Hopefully we can be free from the disease," he added.

Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Mulyo Aji explained, with the trend of increasing OTG and symptoms patients, his party had to prepare alternative steps to divide the treatment place.

"So Wisma Atlet is focused on those with symptomatic, while we are preparing the isolation facility at the Nagrak Flat for OTG. The process is done like an independent PPKM, carried out by four pillars, namely Danramil, police sector, sub-district and puskesmas. Just to know, if the personnel or the community are infected, they will be referred to the puskesmas or wait for decision from the four pillars," he closed.
